Ensemble of three different cubes of flat glass in different colours on a solid wood plinth of white oak.

A subtle interplay of colour and transparency makes the Show Case ensemble a very special eye-catcher. In this interior accessory, favourite ornaments and items with special memories attached can be perfectly displayed. The 3 different cubes of flat glass in different colours are open at the side, and rest in grooves on a solid wood plinth of brushed white oak. They are detachable or can be slid to a new position. When they partially overlap, fascinating colour effects are created. This is an object that transforms every room into a private art gallery – and inspires you to change the exhibits whenever you prefer.

Glass cubes in three sizes and two sets: Set 1: coral rose, ruby red and tangerine. Set 2: smoke grey, ocean grey and aquamarine. Plinth: solid wood (brushed white oak). Dimensions (W/H/D) in cm: 47/64/26

Moritz Böttcher and Nikolaus Kayser

Böttcher & Kayser is a Berlin-based studio working in the fields of consumer product, furniture, lighting and interior design. It was founded in 2007 and is running today by Moritz Böttcher and Nikolaus Kayser. The studio is working with international brands such as Anta, Bolia, Böwer, Conmoto, Freistil by Rolf Benz, Gejst, Johanson, Ligne Roset, Mater, Normann Copenhagen, Northern, Pode, Prostoria, Rig-Tig, Schönbuch, Softline, Stelton, Vertigo Bird, Wendelbo and Zero. 

While still in their studies they won the iF design award and red dot product design awards. Since founding the studio they were honoured with some of the most prestigious awards, such as several red dot and iF design awards, the Interior Innovation Award and the red dot „best of the best“. Their projects have been published in books and magazines around the world.

Moritz Böttcher (1978) graduated as an industrial designer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover in cooperation with Dornbracht. He worked at npk industrial design in Hamburg and the Netherlands, Barskidesign in Frankfurt and from 2006 to 2008 for Werner Aisslinger in Berlin.

Nikolaus Kayser (1978) is a qualified carpenter and studied industrial design at Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel. After his diploma he worked for three years as a designer at wiege Entwicklungsgesellschaft. His focus there was in the field of high-quality office furniture, especially on chairs for the German manufacture Wilkhahn.
